It rained and mom forgot…
When you are juggling a job, a household, a farm, and a litter of active puppies, something is bound to be missed. It rained in Arkansas today. And I forgot to close the puppies inside and lock the gate. So my daughter frantically called me while I was teaching and said the puppies had escaped and were a muddy mess. Exploring and growing
On Sunday, my daughter and I put the puppies through a series of activities to determine how puppies would react. These activities and tests help us determine personalities. Some are official: holding the puppy on its back or messing with feet. Some are just my extra tests: giving a bath & exposing them to different types of animals. They met the goats yesterday. It was immediately apparent who has zero fear, and who is going to be cautious when meeting new creatures.

Vet visit for The Forest litter
On Thursday morning, the puppies had their first vet visit and car ride. They weren’t very happy about either, but they were troopers. The vet said all looked and sounded great. Hearts a strong, no worms, and they took their first shots like champs! Good job, little nuggets!

I'm finally back...
OK, world. I have been BUSY! I have been pursuing my Master's degree while teaching and working with my Goldens and it's been hard. I graduated on Thursday, April 30th and I AM RELIEVED!!! Now I can get back to doing what I love...Goldens. We had a litter on March 10 out of Ivy and Easy. Oh my have these puppies been a delight when I took much study breaks.
